When it comes to logs your bullet journal monthly log/calendar is probably one of the most popular. I use all type of logs in my bullet journal but the monthly is one of my favorites, that and my. weekly log/calendar.

Here I compiled a list of my personal monthly calendars/logs that I’ve created. Use these to find your own inspiration, and create a monthly log that works for you.

Remember, there is no right or wrong way to bullet journal. Have fun, and make something that works for you! I like trying different things in my bullet journal because it helps me find what works for me and what doesn’t. You won’t know if you don’t try!

Simple Monthly Log/Calendar

Sometimes I like keeping my bullet journal pages minimalistic. If I’m crunched for time or have a busy month coming up this is the way to go. It’s easy to jot down info when theirs less clutter on the page. Keep in mind you can keep it simple and still add some color if you please. I really think that the minimal spreads can be more elegant than some of the “over the top” spreads.

Music Theme Monthly Log/Calendar

The music theme for the month of August was probably one of my all-time favorites. I decided to stick with my black and pink theme throughout the who monthly spread. I drew a few music notes at the top of the page, added piano keys to the side. I kept the same style of lettering throughout the month and added some grey shadows to each daily box for some dimension.

Valentines Theme Monthly Calendar

I’ve always wanted to create a Valentine’s theme for the month of February. I like drawing hearts and I love Valentines colors. I decided to use pink and red and incorporate some floral washi tape for a little more detail. The white writing on top of color really makes it POP, and it’s still easy to see. If you don’t have a white gel pen just write your days of the week and numbers in a color that matches your theme.

Sunflower Theme Monthly Log/Calendar

Personally, the month of April screams FLOWERS to me. I really like the way these sunflowers turned out and they were easy to draw and color. I colored these using the 100 Pack of the Crayola Supertips and I couldn’t be happier. The only downfall of the supertips is the lack of color name or number, I often mix up what colors I’m using and have to swatch it before using it again. I kept the days of the week and the numbers relatively simple, I just added some yellow to tie the theme together.

Flower Theme Monthly Log/Calendar

More flowers! Hey, I really like drawing flowers and they’re perfect for any month of the year. I kept this one rather simple using black and accenting with the Sarasa Vintage pen in the color Camel Yellow. It’s such a unique color and I think it accented the flowers and text perfectly. I decided it needed a little more oomph. So I added some black and gold washi tape to border the calendar.

Pastels are a great color palette for any month, especially summer months. I ordered the Tombow Dual Brush Pens pack in Pastels and I couldn’t wait to try them out. Leaf (Monstera) Theme Monthly Log/Calendar

June is my birthday month and I decided I wanted to do something new. Attempt a watercolor look for my bullet journal. However, I didn’t use traditional watercolors for this spread, nope I use MARKER, more specifically I used Crayola Supertips (100 Pack). It was pretty simple to do and I really like the overall look. If you want to use traditional watercolors I would recommend the Gansai Tambi Watercolors.
