It’s time for another bullet journal monthly spread! This one is extra special because it’s the December Bullet Journal spread! December is my favorite holiday. I start decorating in early November (I would start sooner if my husband was down with that).
Both November and December are super busy months for us. With the usual holidays (Thanksgiving, and Christmas) we also have 3 birthdays, work parties, a trip, plus keeping up with all of my school work. I’m exhausted just thinking about it. That’s why it’s important for me to go ahead and set up my bullet journal for December.
For my December journal, I had to go with a Christmas theme, of course. Because I couldn’t decide on a specific theme I decided to create multiple pages! I just couldn’t help myself.
Don’t forget, all of the supplies for this months spread can be found at the end of this post.
Let’s get this party started, shall we?

Bullet Journal December edition:
Cover Page #1- Christmas Tree
This cover page was so fun to make and it didn’t take too long. I knew I had to incorporate a Christmas tree into this month’s theme, and I figured the cover page was the perfect place to do so.
The “December” font incorporated Christmas lights that wrapped around the tree. I also added a few presents under the tree.
At first, I was only going to use watercolors on the Christmas tree but I decided I wanted it to have more depth, so I went back in with my fineliners.
Cover Page #2 – The Grinch
What’s more Christmas than the Grinch? Even though the Grinch hated Christmas. I don’t think of myself as someone who can draw so don’t let this cover intimidate you! In other words, if I can do it, you can too!
I found a tutorial on how to draw the Grinch because this girl is no artist. I love these types of tutorials because it gives you step by step instructions.
I wanted the page to have more than just the Grinch so I also added some Christmas lights wrapped around him. I really like the way it turned out.
I used watercolors and markers (you can find all of the supplies listed at the end of this post). However, you can use anything you want.
Cover Page #3 – Minimalistic Gift Tag
Want to incorporate a Christmas theme into your journal and also keep it simple? This is the way to go.
I used a gift tag with the word, “December” written in it. To make it your own consider changing the colors, shape, or lettering style.
Cover Page #4- Christmas Wreath
I created a similar wreath for November but this one is all Christmas.
In the center of the wreath I wrote, “‘Tis the season” and outlined the wreath with berries, leaves, and branches.
Check out the video for these four Christmas bullet journal themes/cover pages!
Cover Page #5- Christmas Doodles
I used this cover page for my actual bullet journal spread. I like that it incorporates numerous Christmas doodles. If you can’t pick one, just go with this approach. This is nice because you can these doodles throughout your monthly spread.
For the cover I incorporated:
- Candy Canes
- Tree Branches
- Hot Chocolate
You can also check out all of my previous cover pages for more inspiration!
For this month’s monthly calendar I created Christmas lights to represent each day of the week with white lettering.
I kept it pretty simple this month because I knew I would have a lot going on. The fewer doodles and clutter equals more room to write in my appointments, tasks, and other notes.
Check out these bullet journals monthly spreads for even more ideas.
The weekly calendar has a gift representing each day of the week. They’re big enough to write a good amount of information but not too big that I have to use more than two pages per week.
You can find all of my bujo weekly spreads in one place for even more ideas.
The brain dump this month is a letter/ornament that spells out “Brain Dump“. The ornaments are hung on a tree branch for the holidays.
The mood tracker for Christmas was done using gifts! Simply color each box for the given day appropriately. Just be sure to create 31 gift boxes (one box for each day of the month).

*Tip: Keep all of your receipts in the pocket of your bullet journal (most have them). If yours doesn’t simply tape an envelope into your bullet journal or keep them in a safe place.
